John W. Elling, Ph.D., MBA
President
Dr. John Elling joined Integrated Genomics in November 2005. Dr. Elling brings more than 10 years of experience in biotechnology business to the company. Prior to joining Integrated Genomics, he founded and lead Bioreason Inc. to commercialize drug discovery informatics, founded Cytoprint Inc. to develop and commercialize technology for High Content Screening cellular image analysis, and formed Datect LLC to commercialize data validation informatics. Dr. Elling also serves as a Visiting Entrepreneur at Los Alamos National Laboratory and sits on the board of Complexica, Inc. He received his doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA from the Anderson School of Business at the University of New Mexico.
Theresa L. Walunas, Ph.D.

Dr. Theresa Walunas joined Integrated Genomics Genome Analysis group in March 2001. With a background in both biology and computer science, she has worked as both a bioinformatics scientist and software developer for the ERGO™ Genome Analysis suite before becoming Director of Scientific Operations in 2004. Dr. Walunas has a broad overview of experimental and in silico biology at Integrated Genomics and has been responsible for maintaining major customer relationships. Prior to joining Integrated Genomics she did software and database development for Medifacts Systems, Inc. and worked on post-doctoral research in molecular immunology. She received her doctorate in Immunology from the University of Chicago in 1997 and her masters degree in Computer Science from DePaul University.
Anamitra Bhattacharyya, Ph.D.

Dr. Anamitra Bhattacharyya joined Integrated Genomics in June 2000, and currently leads the systems biology group in the analysis of microbial genomes. Dr. Bhattacharyya holds a doctorate in nucleic acid chemistry from the University of Dundee, U.K., he was a Markey Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California San Francisco and prior to joining Integrated Genomics was an adjunct research professor at the University of Chicago.
Vinayak Kapatral, Ph.D.

Dr. Vinayak Kapatral joined Integrated Genomics in November 2000 as Scientist Bioinformatics and as Senior Scientist. Dr. Kapatral brings over six years of experience in the area of bioinformatics and genome analysis. He worked as Post Doctoral Research Associate at University of Illinois at Chicago, studying microbial pathogenesis. Dr. Kapatral received his doctorate in Bacteriology from The University of Idaho. |
