Integrated Genomics is looking for a Microbial Strain Development Scientist to ramp up the strain engineering program in a fast-paced, team-oriented, informal high-tech company located in Chicago.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• PhD in microbiology (or related field) with 2-5 years of independent research experience
• Track record of independent research in the field of microbial strain development, with documented experience through publications or patents
• Strong background in microbial biochemistry and/or molecular biology
• Team leadership experience
• Must be a self-starter with strong spoken and written communication skills
• Familiarity with biological databases and computational tools is a plus
